The Devourer Wyrm

The Devourer consumes the souls of the forgotten dead, those which have not had proper funerary rites performed. The Devourer gains power with every soul eaten this way. Worshipers frequently will leave bodies heaped into a pile so that their deity may feed.

Several hundred years ago The Devourer was defeated and eaten by the Yaunti Empress who took up the mantle and began the cycle anew.
