I’ll sing you a tale of magic and fate
Of laughter and love, and tears and hate
Older than time, and any tale told
I sing about the crimson road

The road winds around like a twisted string
It wraps around hearts, it makes the bards sing
It ties us all to another soul
And when we meet, we can become whole

Most souls don’t know how to find their way
The strings become tangled, the knots become frayed
Some lucky souls can see the thread
Where it leads and from whence it led
But to travel the path you must be bold
Death lies at the end of the end of the crimson road

All good things must come to their end,
Some things must be broken so they may mend.
When all seems lost, do not despair
No matter how dire, the road is still there.
Take hold of the hand that lights the way
Cling tight ‘til you’ve left the safety of day.
Cling tighter still through the cold, dark night
Or else you’ll feel the shadows’ bite.

Far in the land of things long dead,
Where even most gods dare not tread,
There is where the string will guide,
So you may find those which have died.
And if you are bold and your heart beats true,
A clever man will come aid you,
And with a twist and cheat of fate,
Things may be restored, even after too late.
