Red gave this necklace to Asza in exchange for some extra work in the abyss worm tunnels. Supposedly it is lucky and “will help out when it’s really needed” but no one is exactly sure how yet.

When examined very closely it appears there is a living heart encased within the pendant. It still beats on occasion and seems to have magic older than anything Asza has ever encountered. Every time she considers eating it her dreams are visited by a person (who despite appearing differently every time, she can just tell is the same person) who sits at a card table and asks if she’s sure she wants to do that. Lately the dreams have been involving more conversation.

Asza has noticed that the heart tends to beat whenever certain strange events are happening or when certain people (especially Solben) are nearby.
